Valentine's Day Project Round-Up

Looking for some fast, last minute Valentine's Day ideas? Maybe...like me you forgot to start earlier in the month and the day just sort of crept up on you?

No worries! I've rounded up a few links to some sweet V-Day ideas for you. You can whip these up and still have time to spare:

Candy-Filled Glass Block

So pretty! And because I absolutely love sweetheart candies I would have to say this would make a fantastic gift too.

No-Sew Heart Pillow

These adorable heart pillows could be made as small or large as you want. Since they are so fast and easy to do they would also make a nice alternative to the traditional Valentine's Day card.

Valentine's Day Minion Cards

These would be fun to make with kids, but I think it would be even more fun to craft a few to leave for your kids to find on Valentine's morning.

They could also double as lunchbox notes for the guy who doesn't really want teddy bears or hearts.

Come to think of it...just about everyone thinks Minions are funny. So maybe give one to everyone you meet.

Valentine's Day Plant Pokes and Planter

When I was growing up I think the plants got decorated for every holiday. We were plant poke crafting fools.

I did not inherit my mother's talent for keeping houseplants alive, and I doubt even a pretty plant stake would cheer up my always-droopy, lonely pothos plant.

However if you have a greener thumb and more plants, these little stakes are adorable.

Easy DIY Valentine's Day Garland

Paper garlands are awesome because they always look so bright and pretty. They are also easy to make, and can be reused for years if stored with care.

I love the simple banner design on this garland and the mini-clothespins would make it easy to disassemble and store after the holiday is over.

50+ Valentine's Day Sayings

A great quick reference when you need something to write on a card, cake, gift tag or other Valentine's Day craft. Some could also be used for making romantic (or just cute) printables and wall art too.

Wine Cork Heart Ornament

If you collect corks or know someone who has some to spare, this is the perfect project. Not only is it cute as-is, but it could be dressed up in so many different ways.

Since it just a simple, timeless heart, it could also be a permanent decoration in your home.

DIY Valentine's Rose Topiary

Once again, so pretty! This is a bit more involved but could still be done in an hour or so if you had all the supplies on hand.

Since it uses artificial flowers, it can be used again next year (or for any other occasion where a pretty bouquet might be welcome).

DIY Valentine's Candy Vase

I have to admit that this would not last 5 minutes in my house! But it is really cute.

I love the idea of using the candy for so many projects because once it's consumed (5 minutes, tops), there is nothing left to store or throw away. Less waste, more sugar highs. That's uh...sorta my motto.

Valentine's Day Love Birds Art

You can check out my Valentine's art tutorial to create your own printable art. This might take a couple of hours if you aren't familiar with PicMonkey's tools yet.

Valentine's Day Coloring Page Bookmarks

Can there be a cuter gift idea for kids and book lovers? They would also make a great project for kids to give to their friends.

There are tons of color-your-own Valentine's printables on Etsy. Here are a few different sets of bookmarks that look fun:

  • Set of 4 Valentine's Coloring Bookmarks (Hearts)
  • Set of 12 Coloring Bookmarks

Is That Sweet Enough?

Sadly, I couldn't include all the mouthwatering Valentine's projects in one post. There are so many gorgeous, fun, and cute crafts!

You can check out my Pinterest board for more ideas if you have a little spare time. And if you want to just read about the important stuff, check out my earlier post about the history of chocolate.

Have a sweeeeet weekend!
