How to Draw a Cute Raindrop Goal Tracker (For Your Bullet Journal)

Draw a cute goal tracker for your bullet journal. Easy tutorial!
Coming up with fun designs for goal trackers is one of the best parts of bullet journaling.

However with soooo many things to track, it sure is easy to get stuck on the layout sometimes.

Of course, we can always fall back on a simple grid when we run out of inspiration. But wouldn't some happy raindrops be more fun?
Yeah. I think so too. So I put together this little tutorial for you. This design is similar (but not the same) as the one I'm using for my March reading list.

You can easily take the basic drawing and make it totally "you" with extra details. (Birds, flowers, rainbows, swirls...the possibilities are endless!)

It's really easy to do, even if you think you can't draw. I promise!

So, are you ready to try it? Let's go!
What You Need:
  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Pen
  • White eraser
  • Clipboard (optional, but super helpful)

If you are nervous about messing up your bullet journal, practice on some copier or drawing paper until you feel comfortable with the way you want your tracker to look. And remember to have fun!

Steps for Drawing Your Raindrop Goal Tracker

Step 1. Draw The Bottom of the Cloud.

You can make as many "poofs" as you like. Poofs are good.

Step 2: Finish the Cloud

Add more poofs to the top. I like this shape because it kind of reminds me of the clouds in the original Super Mario games.

Step 3:  Make Raindrops

If you've never tried a raindrop or teardrop...it is really easy. Just make a small triangle with an open bottom....

Then add a half circle to the bottom of the triangle to connect. You can make these all different sizes.

Step 4. Add More Raindrops

What goals are you tracking? I've only included twenty raindrops for this tutorial, but you can add as many as you need. Some ideas for things to track in your bullet journal include:

  • Books you've read (month or year)
  • Glasses of water consumed
  • Weight gained or lost
  • Money saved or earned
  • Daily moods
  • Blog posts written
  • Projects to finish/start

Step 5: Add Some Cute Faces

Totally optional, of course. But little happy faces just make everything more fun, don't they?

Step 6: Ink It In

When you are happy with your doodle, carefully trace the lines you want to keep with your pen.

I recommend a permanent pen if you want to use markers or any other "wet"media to color in your trackers.

Let the ink dry for a minute then gently erase your pencil marks with a white eraser.

TIP: Use a soft, dollar store cosmetic brush (the kind for blush) to sweep away eraser shavings. It will keep your paper from smudging.
