Do you know what two things come at the same time?
The Inktober art challenge and fall cleaning!
I've been super busy doing fun stuff like burning brush piles and drawing madly.
I seriously love Inktober, but gosh I wish it came during a slower month, like July!
If you've been reading So Not Niche for awhile, you may have noticed that I've started to add more creativity to the blog than when it was new.
I realized this year that my passion (art) can be part of a lifestyle blog, and I've really been putting in some work to turn that into my actual business.
I want to write more on this later, for new bloggers who are wondering if they can really blog about things they enjoy. For now, I just want to say that I'm using Inktober this year to really explore some new styles, and push myself outside the comfort zone a bit. It is also a great opportunity to connect with other artists and fill up my online shops a bit.
None of these are available on any products yet, but as soon as I have extra time, I will be editing, coloring, and adding them to places like my Zazzle and Society 6.
If you like to draw, design, paint, or otherwise create stuff, then I really recommend trying a challenge at least once a year. You might be surprised at how overwhelmed you become with inspiration and ideas!
If you want to set your own pace, you can check out my last post, 45 Creativity Prompts. The printables are free, and you can use them however you like.
Okay. On to the artwork. Here are my first 7 Inktober drawings:
