45 Creativity Prompts to Get You Motivated

9/30/2017

Free printable journal prompts for creative inspiration.
Do you need a little creative boost? How about some inspiration for the next time you sit down to journal, write or draw?

I know I mentioned this in my last post, but Inktober is aaalmost here. (And I'm excited, can you tell?)

Because I am excited, I want you to be excited too. Not necessarily about Inktober, but about creativity in general.

So, I've made some free creative prompts printables to help motivate you and inspire you.
In an effort to fit such a daunting art challenge into my schedule, I spent a couple of weeks before hand preparing and organizing. Once the "official Inktober prompts" list was released, I made a list and jotted down some ideas to go along with each prompt.

But just like last year, there are a few prompts on the list that just don't "do it" for me. For example, day 9 is "screech". Try as I may, I can't be inspired by that one, so I penciled in a couple of alternate ideas to use for the hard days.
That gave me the idea to create a totally fresh prompt list to share with you guys. There are 45 prompts altogether, and while I created the lists with drawing in mind, they can certainly be used for writing prompts, journal layouts or any other project where you want to express yourself creatively.

Just save and print the lists below, and if they help you, please share this post with your creative friends!

How You Can Profit from Drawing for Inktober (and Other Art Challenges)

9/28/2017

You can sell your Inktober drawings! Make a profit from a fun art challenge.

Only a few more days until October first! If you like to draw, then that means looking forward to Inktober, the 31 day art challenge.

It is an art challenge, (not contest)  and there are very few rules, and no prizes.

But that doesn't mean you can't use Inktober (or any art challenge) as a way to help boost your art and design business a little bit.
Sometimes when we work from home it can be hard to "excuse ourselves" to do something just for fun. Especially if that takes time away from building our other income streams or brands.

If you are creative though, an art challenge can help you in many ways, such as expanding your social media reach, attracting more people to your website or blog, increasing your productivity skills. giving you practice, and earning a little extra cash.

Here are some ways you can make Inktober both fun and lucrative:

Okay. I sometimes eat the candy corn. I also LOVE colorful Halloween decor. But sometimes simpler is better, and there are so many lovely black and white decor ideas.

I'm seriously thinking about sticking to a minimal, somewhat black and white theme this year (with a splash of pumpkins and slime, of course.)

Since I'm searching for inspiration and ideas, I thought I would share a round-up of some simple, black and white Halloween printables you can find on Etsy this year.
