18+ Easter Egg Filler Ideas

2/25/2017

Do you need some good ideas for Easter Egg fillers? Here are my favorite egg filler ideas to make Easter egg hunting more exciting and mess-free!
Are you stumped for ideas on what to put in plastic Easter eggs? Looking to make your egg hunt just a little more fun and exciting?

Awesome! Coz today I'm going to share over eighteen different things you can put in a plastic Easter egg!

Can I confess something really silly to you? Don't laugh...but I love plastic Easter eggs. I still get excited when I see them in the stores, even though Easter is not really one of my favorite holidays.

Since it almost always rains here on Easter, I tend to buy (way too many) plastic eggs as back-up for our egg hunt.

I learned the hard way that rain+egg dye+white frilly Easter dresses=big mess/sad mom.
But since plastic eggs don't have anything good inside, like say...egg, then it makes sense to fill them up ourselves. (Not with egg.)

Plus, by filling the eggs, you can actually save a little money on Easter baskets by making customized ones from things I KNOW my kids will like for more than five minutes.

If you put the smaller prizes and treats inside the eggs, you have more space in your basket for larger, substantial items such as books.

"Secret" prizes make the Easter baskets and egg-hunt much more exciting!

Okay. So here are some of my tried-and-true, kid approved egg filler ideas:

Octopuses, Tax Returns, and Sticking to the Budget. A Financial Friday Cartoon

Time for another cartoon about life and all the stuff that happens in it. Like envying cool stuff your friends have.

We all know that sticking to a budget means doing without a lot of fun toys and gadgets. Darn, it's hard sometimes though, right?

I figured this was appropriate since tax season is upon us, and I'm starting to see those first social media posts where people are showing off their new fitness trackers and flat screen televisions.

Hopefully, if you are on track paying off your debt, or building up a comfy savings, you won't be distracted (too much) by all the shiny stuff. But it's okay to think about it, right?

How to Make Pinterest Friendly Blog Images With PicMonkey Photo Editor: Tutorial

How Do You Make Pinnable Blog Images With Text Over Them? And Do I Need Them?

You've seen all those blog photos with text overlays. Maybe you've heard about "pinnable images, or "Pinterest-friendly images" What does it mean, and do you need pinnable images with text on your blog?

Short and sweet: your blog needs images. Your website needs images. Your products need images. Your newsletter needs images. Even pages or pins to advertise your newsletter need freaking images.

And these days, an awesome image alone just isn't going to cut it. Nope. The world that is "too busy to read" the descriptive title or caption you placed under the image still demands an image that talks to them.

Meaning, they want a caption or title on it.

Go figure.

But hey, it makes it easy to browse through Pinterest when you don't have to play guessing games with the mystery pins. Why not extend the same courtesy to your friends and followers?

It's perfectly easy to make a "pinnable" image, and there are probably hundreds of different styles you can use. For today, I'm just going to show you 4 basic ways you can make Pinterest-friendly blog images that "pop".

All you need are your photos and PicMonkey photo editor.

Can you become a millionaire selling art on Zazzle?
Okay, I'm sure using the "M" word got your attention. Let me start out by saying I have not yet become a millionaire using Zazzle, but I am 100% positive that it can be done.

Maybe not fast, but let's all take a moment to appreciate hard work and dedication. And also delayed gratification.

Done?

Cool.

So, WHY do I think it can be done? Because it's all in the numbers and how you perceive them.

Even if doesn't seem probable, you can read on and see that it is possible.

Whoa. Monday again. What's on your to-do list for this week?
This week I'm doing reading about working with brands.

You know, blogger stuff like sponsored posts and so forth. I've not done it before, so I have to over-research before I decide to pursue it.

One thing is for certain, I wouldn't do it for just anyone. It would have to be a brand that really resonates with me, and really earns my trust and admiration.

And that is what today's comic is about. That magical moment when you stumble across a brand or product that really sings to you. Check it out below, and share in the comments if you've ever had a Ned moment, and what brand makes you smile.
