My Christmas List: Holiday Gift Ideas

Are you stuck for a gift idea? I may not be able to point you at the most perfect gift in the world, but maybe I can you some inspiration. In this post, I listed a few things that I use and love. Today, I'm sharing some stuff from my secret wish list.

I'm pretty horrible at coming up with great gift ideas for adults and it always helps if I can read what real people want. Hopefully, this will help you too.

I can't vouch for how awesome these things are, because I haven't tried them yet! But they really are on my wishlist, and I sure wouldn't be sad to see one (or two) under the tree this year. :)

1. Oneida Diameter Flatware Set

I'm in love with this set.

Currently I have a lot of mismatched, weak flatware that bends when you use it (and sometimes snaps apart.) The prelude to all meals includes listening to the kids fight over who gets the one red fork or the spoon that is most "bendy". To curb this daily round of spoon envy, I'm shopping for a brand new set of flatware.

I love that this set is so sleek. No grimy grooves to scrub. I can't wait to try it!
2. Watercolor Brush Pens

I can see so many fantastic uses for these, from coloring my cartoons to creating bullet journal doodles.
3. Pink Bullet Journal

To go with the markers, of course! I use loose printed grid paper at the moment, and it's great too. But I want one of these as a more portable journal/planner/art journal for layouts that don't need to be full page.

4. Peel and Stick Backsplash Tiles

My ultimate solution to my "house issues" is to run a wrecking ball through it in two or three years. Until then, these stickers look like a fun, easy way to cover up some of the uglies and add a bit of glam. I bet they would be fun to use in more than just the kitchen too. (I'm thinking laundry room...)

5. Octopus Candle Holder

That "adult" part of my brain tells me there really isn't a good reason to want an octopus candle holder. But I try not to listen that voice. This is cool. This is the sort of thing you want to leave to your great-grandchildren just so to confuse them. :)

6. Star Wars Wafflemaker

Generally I have a rule in my too-small kitchen. No gadgets that don't get used at least weekly. ( I mean, I don't even have a toaster or coffee pot because they aren't worth the precious kitchen real estate.)

But I just can't help but think Death Star waffles would taste better somehow. And that if I had this, I would absolutely make waffles that weren't the frozen, boxed kind. (Again, I'm not listening to the incredibly boring adult voice in my head.)

7. Clear Acrylic Desk Organizer

If you tell people "clear" is one of your favorite colors, they look at you like you are nuts. But it's true! I've always loved things that were clear. (Blame it on being a little kid in the 80's when all the clear phones and television sets were popular.)

Clear does not always work for storage. It can make some areas look too junky. But I love it for the office where I need to see my stuff so I can work (doodle) more efficiently.
